Will Davidson

I couldn't not resize just some of this AMAZING shoot by Will Davidson. They simply have to be viewed in all their glory, which means as large as possible.

If you look at the qualities of the different images from the shoot, there really isn't much detail to be seen, in saying that, the draping of the garment's only enhance and bring more depth to the photography.

Pure bliss. I could stare at these images for hours.

borrowed hat and stockings from sister, ellery et graz sunglasses, sportsgirl shorts and earrings, thifted/altered top, wittner sandals.

My bf and i decided we'd make a trip to the closer seaside, that was shorncliffe. It was rather scenic but very windy which made it kind of uncomfortably cold. Afterwards, we both had it in our minds that we'd drive to redcliffe but were both disappointed on how much it had to offer and how run down it looked. We then spent approximately 45 mins walking around looking for a fish and chip shop because there literally was no 'decent' shop -in my opinion- to be found. Eventually we had to go back to the dodgy looking one, because you know when you think about a certain food and you decide you want it and nothing else at this point...well all i wanted was fish and chips and nothing else!

These designs are particularly similar to those of my own, except Andy Warhol's 'Pop Art' is referenced and dress/t-shirts are used instead of swimwear apparel. I guess some of us have to be trendsetters for the scene? Just kidding, it was bound to happen. But i do think of it as a weird coincidence in terms of the timing -right after my porfolio- that Pop art, more specifically Andy Warhol's work would be screenprinted on some form of garments and then be highly priced attributed to it's uniqueness? I don't think so, not if it's already been done.

Firstly, so sorry for the lack of updates, i am somewhat of a lazy blogger you could say. These designs uploaded were the creations by me for my fashion porfolio subject at uni. In hindsight, i am rather proud of what i created but let me tell you, there were alot of late nights, energy drinks and stress linked to the whole process. We had to orally present our concept proposal to class and it was interested to note the different processes people take when creating a concept and how well there designs were executed.

Basically my concept as a small-scale collection of swimwear inspired by the idea of 'retro' drawing upon similar silhouttes of both the 1950s and 1960s. Pop art and its motifs, patterns, subject matter and colours were a source of inspiration for my collection.

I would actually love to see these designs be executed and i don't know about anyone else, but i certainly would wear them.

macaron. or macaroons as we call it. I can't think whether i've tasted a macaroon before but they just look too delightful.

thank god i've finished my portfolio subject of a bitch. i think if i had to come up with a concept again, i probably wouldn't leave things so last minute but sometimes creativity doesn't come to you till the eleventh hour!

i shall upload some images of my work

Lula delicate and ravishing with those bewitching eyes

Zink this image puts me in a trance, i like the capture of movement.

Numero makes me conjure up a fairy tale such as rapunzel or cinderalla.

Sorry for the belated update, we went over our internet quota before the end of the month, which made my computer very slow. It did make me realise how dependent i am on the internet, especially waiting up for it to click over so i could make use of it again!

It's that time again, when chocolate surrounds us and (well i don't know about you) but usually it gets overeaten...I have to be in the mood for chocolate, its not one of those thing i can eat morning, day or night. But when its in front of me, sometimes i just eat it for the sake of it and because it looks good :) I love that easter is associated these days with chocolate (large amounts of it i might add!)rather than a more religious interpretation, but that's commercialisation for you.

happy easter

Blaise Reutersward's work. I adore this photoshoot. LOVE the italian style house. i really wish i could just live there, that pool looks so alluring and inviting. i think it could just be a holiday on its own.

Jemma Jube for Topshop- Oh jemma, you make such cute swimwear, but i could almost see this as lingerie? There is something surreal about this image, very dream like. although on the contrary, i actually was reminded of Bear Gryll's 'Man vs. Wild' episode where he cut open a camel and used it for warmth. and he shows you EVERYTHING. weird shit i tell you, but useful if you are ever are stuck in the situation...unlikely though.

Behati Prinsloo for Elle france.- All i have to say is, you really do have to have the right skin tone to pull off the beach look. I somehow don't seem to accomplish it with my pale pale skin. nevertheless i still try.

It bothers me that in australia we have this so called  'beach culture'. Alot of our major swimwear designs are about practicality and usefulness, but i yearn for something different. Can we not have more designers -who are yet to do a lines- where it is purely aesthetic and we can just lie around like we are in st. tropez? i think so :)
